Who We Are
Castlepoint Weston Limited Partnership is a joint partnership between Weston Park Baptist Church and Castlepoint Numa.
Castlepoint Numa
Founded in 1988, Castlepoint is a leader in the development industry with significant experience delivering globally recognized projects across the Greater Toronto Area and selected markets in the United States. We place city building, sustainability and design excellence central to all our projects.
Castlepoint’s projects are recognized for their vision, aesthetics and innovative expertise. We excel in heritage preservation and adaptive re-use, brownfield reclamation and the revitalization of large development sites (we are currently leading the redevelopment of five large-scale urban sites in Toronto ranging from 1 to 34 acres), and all of which are predominantly transit orientated.
Weston Park Baptist Church
Weston Park Baptist Church is located at 1871 Weston Rd and owns a portion of the surface parking lot leased to Metrolinx at 1865 Weston Road. The church has been a part of the fabric of Weston for more than a century.
Rev. John McIntosh as a missionary from Olivet Baptist Church, Toronto, founded Weston Park Baptist Church in 1907.
In 1909 a small brick Sunday school room was built, and the present sanctuary was added in 1947-48.
As a mission extension, Pelmo Park Baptist Church was started in 1955.
In the early sixties, the old Sunday schoolroom was replaced with the current Christian education wing.
In 1987 a new entrance complete with an elevator was built to increase the building's accessibility to all.
Pelmo Park merged back with Weston Baptist in 1990 to form the present Weston Park Baptist Church.
In the late eighties, the church sought to reach out to the needs of troubled youth in the Weston area by establishing Frontlines, a youth drop-in centre.
In 1991, a building at 1844 Weston Road was purchased and converted into the home of Frontlines and W.A.E.S (Weston Area Emergency Support) Food bank. More recently, Frontlines has expanded to provide programs for children and adults of all ages and backgrounds.
