20200224_Project Objectives Results 3.jpg

On February 24, 2020 the team held a Public Open House at the Weston Park Baptist Church to introduce ourselves to the community and get feedback on the project’s objectives.

On August 9, 2021 the team held a virtual Public Open House on the proposed concept design, which was attended by over 120 community members. The presentation covered the proposed massing of the buildings (the shape and size of the built form), organization of uses (location of residential, commercial, and community spaces), site circulation (pedestrian, cycling, vehicular access, loading, and parking) and public realm strategy (publicly accessible ground floor areas and green spaces). Following the meeting, we circulated a request for community feedback in a survey and direct email and received:

  • 42 responses to the survey;

  • 20+ direct emails; and

  • 15+ chats in-person chats with our community liaison Marilyn McCrea.

We used the received community feedback to inform our first submission to the City of Toronto. Thank you to everyone who participated!

 Current Events/Consultations

We are hoping to organize another Public Open House in the near future. Stay tuned! If you would like to be among the first notified when this meeting has been scheduled, please send us an email at Weston@castlepointnuma.com to be added to our community stakeholders communications list.

Our Community Liaison, Marilyn McCrea, and our other team members continue to connect with community stakeholders to learn about the neighbourhood, their aspirations, and how we can support the community as we move towards recovering from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
