Community Conversations
Fall 2021
(September to November 2021)
As public health guidelines and restrictions continued to evolve in response to Covid-19 data, we were able to participate in outdoor meetings, walks and events while adhering to the guidelines including physical distancing and mask wearing this fall. The changes in COVID public health measures and weather allowed us to continue with outdoor Weston Walks and meetings. Virtual conversations over Zoom continued to be a part of community engagement.
Fall Highlights
As vaccination rates rose, community members were more comfortable engaging in local events, which brought energy and excitement to Weston Village. Our team enjoyed assisting in the food and coat drives in advance of winter weather and holiday preparation. We also participated the Business Improvement Association Annual General Meeting, as well as the virtual neighbourhood updates hosted by 12 Division (TPS).
This fall, several individuals and groups were happy to connect, converse, and join in outdoor settings to share their ideas, experiences, and aspirations for the future of Weston.

As mentioned, as public health restrictions changed and allowed for more outdoor in person meetings and Weston Village walks resumed – both of which were welcomed and encouraged while virtual meetings and telephone interviews continued to be a valuable option to connect and converse.
These discussions continue to provide insights into the way Weston lives and works and the keen sense of community in Weston along with the future aspirations and hopes for the future generations of Weston.
