Community Conversations

Summer 2021

(June to August 2021)

As COVID public health guidelines/restrictions were adjusted and the weather got warmer, we were able to participate in outdoor meetings, walks and events while adhering to the guidelines including physical distancing and mask wearing. It was great to see the friendly faces of Weston in person again!

Summer Highlights

The summer weather, higher vaccination rates, and events in the community brought energy and excitement to Weston Village creating a busy period of community engagement with individuals and organizations. Folks were happy to connect and converse in outdoor settings to share their ideas, experiences and aspirations for Weston moving forward.

By the Numbers

These discussions continue to provide insights into the way the Weston neighbourhood lives and works, including the future aspirations and hopes for the future generations of Weston. Conversations during the summer were invaluable in preparing for the virtual Public Open House, which was held on August 9, 2021, and the feedback following the Public Open House was even more valuable in informing the development submission which was made in late October 2021.
